Re: 100l set up??

Thanks for the tip, settings changed. That's going to be a bit small for me, but thanks anyway.

Re: 100l set up??

Great, thanks.. Really I'm looKing for at least a mash tun too, but I'll definitely bear this in mind if you don't shift it soon.

Re: Thermometer

Brilliant. The STC probe is waterproof then - no need to wrap it up?

Re: Thermometer

That sounds interesting, I'll take a look. What kind of probe thermometer have you got?

Thanks.

Thermometer

Hi folks.

I need a new thermometer and want to get a good one. For AG, so ideally one I can leave in the HLT / MT.

What does anyone recommend?

Thinking about it, could I just use the probe from my STC, or would being in boiling water ruin it?

Thanks, Jim.

Re: Fridge for Fermenting and Conditioning

Oops! Thanks for pointing that out - I was on the money saying it was an idiot's guide (in the sense it was written by an idiot!). Corrected version is here:

Re: Fridge for Fermenting and Conditioning

Just sent. Okay. I've tried to link it on Google drive. Try this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byet5YEmC8naUzQ0LTdNZDBqWUU/edit?usp=sharing Hope it works. It's a very simple idiot's guide but assumes some basic know-how and a bit of bodging. I am no expert, but have done it twice and both fridge...

Does anyone know if there is an online database of recipes in Beer Engine format?

Re: Fridge for Fermenting and Conditioning

Hi Clibit,

I've put it into a pdf and will email it to you. If I could work out how to add an attachment to a post I'd do it. Any ideas?

Re: Fridge for Fermenting and Conditioning

I had the same problem, but a kind chap on the forum talked me through it. I wrote an idiots guide for a
mate of mine. If you need it, it's yours. Making a brew fridge is easy and will transform your nano-brewery!

Re: Cheap kettles

So I went to a big tesco in the next big town, and they had kettles for a fiver. Looks like the pins are long enough. Perhaps they rebranded the box because of some negative reviews. Hopefully I'll get a decent vigorous boil on my next brew, I ended up with too much thin wort when one element gave u...
