I had an itc 106vh but it shorted, and started throwing out A100 error code in the SV box. I bought a new 100RH and it is doing the same. Any ideas?

Salters did have a 10kg scale, got one from Argos last year, lots on ebay though twice what I paid. And I just put an old biscuit tin on first to lift the bucket clear to read it

thanks for responses, it looks like its going to be homebrewbuilder's. There are no specifications on the site, what length are they (the holes in the kettle are opposite each other) and what size hole is needed?

Electric elements which are the best?
I have had nothing but problems with electric elements and the leads and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Currently I use Peco elements which burn out the connectors (correct kettle leads used hot rated) and Backer 2.7kw elements which I have had to replace 3 times, they sometimes ...

on Beersmith (and probably other software/online) there are refractometer calculators for before, during and end of fermentation.

did a single hop with summit a while ago, it went down very well though was a little hazy, possibly due to hops.

one major problem that arose was the burnt flavour in the beer. I used a very fine mesh around the bag to try to stop the rubbish from getting to the element, this improved things.

Not a TT recipe but I have had the same problem, bottled over three weeks, 1 inch clear the rest cloudy. Chilling made no difference.
