Re: Cannular Canning Machine
Jonny from BrewKegTap here. The extra chuck we sell with the Cannular seamer fits CDL/ CDLE ends (lids). The 202 cans are all pretty much the same everywhere, it’s the ends that are different. We have a number of UK small breweries successfully using the machine with the supplied CDL chuck with UK s...

Re: Ace, Klarstein type all in one System
I run BrewKegTap on ebay. We are currently importing some gen3 Robobrew units from the manufacturer. These are very popular in the US and Oz. There are loads of reviews online - have a google. Email or PM if interested - or go to our website which should be sorted in a week or 2. I'll posting news a...

Re: Keezer build questions
I'd add, if it's in the house you won't need a heater in there at all. Mine is in the shed and I don't heat it. I would guess that a chest freezer would be coolest at the bottom and this is where the beer is drawn from if using corny kegs. I put the probe at the bottom of the freezer and don't bothe...

Re: carbing up
Should be at least a little carbed by now....
Try pulling the pressure relief valve - does gas come out under pressure? Can you hear more gas go in when you release the valve?
How are you testing the carbonation?

Re: Braumeister firmware update
I've used the BM filter and it worked fine with lots of leaf hops. Worth a quick whirlpool all the same.
I think my BM only lets me have 3 recipes...?

Re: Rough weld inside a corny
Looking at those welds I'd probably weigh up the cost of the kegs, and cost of returning them. Compared to almost all the cornys I've seen (quite a lot!) those welds don't look great. Maybe contact them and see what they say?

Re: Avoiding foaming from corny tap
I'm not very fond of having great coils of beer line in my beer fridge, nor of depressurising and repressurising my cornies whenever I draw a pint. Just wondering if there any other ways of reducing the pressure at the tap to stop the foam? Some sort of counter-pressure mechanism, or expanding cham...

Re: Rough weld inside a corny
I think I might have bought some kegs off the same fella. Are you sure it didn't say in the description that they had been welded? I got mine really cheap as apparently there was welds on the inside but I'm not bothered at all. Breweries are full of welds and I'm sure they won't all be super smooth....

Making my own Handles
Yes Danny. That's awesome thanks- haven't seen those in the uk before. I presume you drill a slightly bigger hole and screw the housing in? Are your tap threads the normal size?
I've got a mate with a lathe who mentioned doing me some handles. Would be sweet!

Re: Making my own Handles
Taps look nice! How have you mounted them onto the threads of the tap? I've looked at those double sided screw things but can only find them from the states.

+1 to it'll be fine. I often leave in fermenter that long - esp if double dry hoping
