Re: Session IPA
I have it at 19.5c at the moment, appears to have thrown up and mostly dropped the krausen in the first 24hrs but otherwise a fairly gentle ferment at the moment. Brewfridge smells like fruitsalad!

Re: Session IPA
Cheers, 1272 gets some good reviews. More floccy and flavoursome than US05/Chico apparently but still very hop forward. If that is the case I imagine I will use it a lot more....

Session IPA
This is based on the Session IPA by Fourpure which I have had on draught and really enjoyed (not so much from the cans but hey ho). No idea if it will be close to the original but the smell of all those hops when I brewed it yesterday has me quite excited about this one! Had a nice leisurely brewday...

Will give that a go next time! Thanksnbpicklesno2 wrote:Nothing wrong with bottle conditioned Fullers. It just needs to be top cropped. I must be on thirty generations down the line with little changes I can detect.

Re: Fullers yeast not floccing
I'm a bit more confident its not an infection now as it tastes ok but its still very cloudy and the fermentation has definitely progressed differently to last time. It seems to have become more attenuative just over 80% so far and the ester profile is a bit different. I bottom cropped the yeast for ...

Re: Fullers yeast not floccing
Pretty sure, its not a huge quantity of rye (15%ish) and havent seen this issue in similar beers I have done previously

Re: Fullers yeast not floccing

Fullers yeast not floccing
I have a Rye Pale on at the moment that I used Fullers yeast in that I had recovered from a previous brew and it is not behaving as I would expect. It has fermented out fine and is about 10 days in the FV so far but by this point the yeast has previously flocculated heavily and the beer virtually cl...

Trip Hop Brit Hop
Another Clibit inspired one here, think this will be next on my list as it will help use up a few half empty hop packets and also a little experiment with the WY yeast in a Pale Ale. I loved it in my Boltmakeresque brew so hope it will go well in this. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/973654/Scre...

Re: Red Dawn Amber Ale
Am yet to try any of those for brewing but have definitely enjoyed some commercial beers that feature them, wasn't sure about Colombus at first, seems to give a lot of garden shed earthiness in some beers but tried a flying dog IPA last night that used it and it was great!
