Re: Can I re-ferment a bottled beer that had stuck fermentation?
Cheers guys for your input. I am going to try and ferment a small 1ltr with a bit of Coopers kit yeast (that I won't otherwise use) and a bit of yeast nutrient. Mainly out of curiosity. The question is, do I try and add oxygen to start the yeast off? If I do and it works, I would presumably have to ...

Cheers for that info mate. I will mull it over for a bit but your advice is greatly appreciated.

Can I re-ferment a bottled beer that had stuck fermentation?
I bottled a Dunkelweizen made from an 'all-malt' kit about 3 months ago. It was a Gozdawa kit made with a Mangrove Jack Bavarian Wheat fermented at 27 deg. C (within range) I suspected the ferm. had stuck at 1.024 after I had the same hydrometer reading 3 days running. I agitated the yeast but no fu...

Spiced Scotch Ale with Prunes
I'm planning on making a lightly spiced, strong-ish Scotch Ale this weekend using a kit as a base. I wanted to add a fruity depth with some prunes. I am toying with ideas about how best to incorporate them - in a short boil, steeped and added to secondary or at racking stage. What to steep in. ie wa...

Re: Prune or Date Porter
Hiya, Just curious as to what happened with this brew?
I'm planning on making a lightly spiced strong Scotch Ale this weekend and want to add some prunes. Did you use dates in the end? If so how did you add them, and how did it turn out?
Cheers. MSB

Festival NZ Pilsner - Ferm. Temp?
Hi all, Bought three kits the other day to crack on with replenishing stocks after Christmas. One of which is the Festival NZ Pilsner. I am struggling with what temp to ferment at. The Yeast sachet says 'California Lager' so presumably 10-15 deg C but the instructions (which cover the other world be...
