Hi.
It seems that the problem is the circulation pump. The pump also acts as an agitator to keep the whole water bath cold.
I'm trying to get a new one.
Thanks!

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Hi everyone. I now have another problem. After the fan replacement, the Maxi worked well until this weekend. Suddenly I got a smell coming from the machine like electronics burned. The machine keeps working but I noticed that now, when the fan stops (when the Maxi reachs the desired temperature) I g...

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Hi everyone. Just here to post updates: I've replaced the fan and it came back to life! :D Cold beer again! Thanks everyone for your help. On a sidenote question... when I'm pouring a beer I sometimes get pressure hicups. It starts pouring ok then it suddenly starts pouring foam and then continues p...

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Been thinking about your digital stat idea. I guess you are running this with an inkbird. So why does the maxi need any stat at all? You want on or off as decided by the inky. In that scenario you are better off removing or at least bypassing the internal stats altogether. Hmmm... I not sure I unde...

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
It was not spinning. I checked and it was getting power.
I double checked by getting it out and powering it directly. No spinning.
Already ordered a new one.
The compressor starts normally.
Thanks!

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Ok, I already dropped the glycol change. No need to mess with a working unit
I opened the Maxi and the fan is dead. I'm buying a new one. Can the fan be the sole responsible for not cooling?

Re: Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Thanks everyone for your help!
I will open it and see if the pipes are cold.
I am thinking that, as I will open it and work on it, install a digital thermostat and change the liquid to glycol. Are there any cons on doing this?

Cornelius Maxi 110 not getting cold
Hi everyone. I have a Cornelius Maxi 110 for about 4 years with not problems (I only use it in the summer). This year I powered it up and it is not getting cold. Beer comes out at the same temperature. I also notice today that from time to time it makes a loud banging noise for a few seconds. I am g...

Re: [Newbie] Beer dispenser
Hi everyone. I finally have all the pieces together: Maxi 110, DIY beer tower, CO2 tank, CO2 regulator and 30L beer barrel :) I will try to assemble the whole thing this weekend. I have just one question: which pressure should I set the system to? I have read somewhere to set it to 2-2.5. Is it ok o...

Re: [Newbie] Beer dispenser
Kev,
Thanks again. I guess you covered all my doubts.
I'll let you know how it goes
One last stupid question: How do I empty the water bath of the maxi? Do I just lean the machine for it do exit via the overflow or is there any easier way?
Regards

Re: [Newbie] Beer dispenser
Kev, Thanks a lot for your help! I think I have already a basic idea on how everything should come together. So... correct me if I am wrong: 1- I will test the temperature and see if it needs additional freezing. If it needs, the DIY you mention is something like connecting an STC1000 thermostat lik...

[Newbie] Beer dispenser
Hi everyone :) I am new to this forum and I know absolutely nothing about the beer brewing world. I ended up here because I am making some remodeling on my house and I am building an outside bar (kinda). I bought an used Cornelius Maxi 110 which I guess is enough for my needs and during my searches ...
