Re: Fermentation query

Hi mate. Not see. That before. Most beers ferment best between 18 -25°c . It's best to have a thermometer strip on the side of the fermenter so you can keep an eye on it . As already suggested, consider a heat pad , give it a good stir and reactivate the Yeast . Sent from my POT-LX1A using Tapatalk

Re: Wilko artisan kits

Hi all. Has anyone brewed, know somebody that's brewed or tasted any of Wilko's Artisan Beer kits? There's one or two that don't sound to bad. Triple hop IPA and a wheat beer. Have a great weekend where ever you are! Sent from my POT-LX1A using Tapatalk I have brewed the Feeling Hippy IPA and the T...

Re: What Is Extract Brewing?

I do like the idea of going all out and doing AG brewing . I've been doing extract kits for years now and although simple to do I still find myself learning little things each time. So , for the time being I'm more than happy carrying on with LME. If I'm honest I don't have the time or a decent spar...

IPA

Hey all! It's been a while since my last post but I've been flat out! Hope everyone is well and brewing as if your lives depended on it ! . I finished my Mangrove jacks single hop Simcoe IPA and it turned out great! I did add an extra 50g of Simcoe which gave it a big burst of flavour. Totally satis...

Re: Fermenters rated/compared

Hi All Hard to try and search for this subject, so I'm going in with eyes wide and prepared for anything. I have been using 30L plastic fermenters for years. They all ferment beer. I was wondering if there are tangible benefits to going stainless steel . None that I have found. [emoji106][emoji482]...

Re: Are These Brown Floaters Normal?

Yo WA. Here is my brew in the wine glass. This was after 10 days in the bottle, couldn't resist. No idea why it's on it's side. No matter which way I turn it on my computer it's always on it's side in the post? IMG_7348.JPG Now, as I stated, it was clear after a few days. I put a couple of bottles ...

Re: Are These Brown Floaters Normal?

That's the the single hop IPA from MJ done. Tried to lose as much trub as possible by filtering from on fermenter to another, leaving it settle then transfering back. It worked to a degree and not a bad yeild 4, 5ltr kegs & 5, 500ml swing top bottles. Obviously lost a little but nothing to cry about...
