Looks great, I couldn't do without a bottling stick now!
I was so impressed with the Bottling stick.
So much so I have bought a spare in case of mishaps on the day.
I had the the usual tubes and syphons at the ready but didn't use/need them, brilliant.

Thanks Jim. I had others but they were too large, I'll work on that for next time.

Re: Sussex Best Clone - 3rd Grain Brew - Photos

Looks like you had a lovely day for it; good enough to get the shorts on! And the wort coming out of the boiler looks beautifully clear. Yes it was a great day. Sun out, lovely brewing aromas and some gentle music, what more could you want... oh yes and a beer or two! The bottles are looking really...

Sussex Best Clone - 3rd Grain Brew, 1st after 16yrs

Hello, a quick bit of background. I’ve only done 2 all grain brews before, these were 16 years ago using a homemade ‘cool box’ Mash tun and a reconditioned Burco boiler. The 1st was a Pale Ale, using recovered yeast from Summer Lightning bottles, this was good but did have a kind of Summer Lightning...

Hello again :)

Hello everyone, I'm back after 16 years! I've brewed a couple of all grains in the past, with varying success, one good Pale Ale using recovered yeast from Summer Lightning bottles and the last one a Porter which I had to ditch. That was March 2008! I think my last post then said I was looking forwa...
