Re: Using hop pellets.
Thanks for the replies , looks like i,m going to have to stop using the filter and draw off from the top, suppose it means i,m going to be left with a lot of trub reducing effeciency as i use grain kits so cannot upscale to allow for this.

Using hop pellets.
Hi all , just a question re hop pellets I,m used to using whole leaf hops which makes for a good bed with the grain when draining, never had a problem clogging up. However seemingly the way forward is using pellets , which i,m having trouble with them clogging my s/s filter draining off, as im throw...

Hopefully its in the right section , just set up a fermenting fridge using an inkbird ,coupled to a heat belt for heating and fridge kicks in when required. Re: Anyone made a Raspberry Ale? Just a couple of questions
Initially i thought it would make sense to liquidize, boil then add , but then i thought thatsa lot of pulp to drop out, so finally my minds made up, gonna mash the rasps then add, on the basis that as its a wheat beer it will be hazy but not overmuch. By the way,if no rasps on hand like me, i found...

Re: Anyone made a Raspberry Ale? Just a couple of questions
thanks for the input chaps, just gonna have to be patient then, using s05 as its a yeast that wont hurry, the only thing i,m unsure about is the final gravity on adding 2 1/2 kilo frozen, thawed rasps on top of the original which should come out about 4.8% before adding.
