Looks like the safest thing to do for me is to buy the extension hose from co2 supermarket.

I bought the refill adapter similar to the one in the ebay link above. I have just tried to screw it onto my pub gas cylinder and you can't as the control knobs get in the way. Like the strain wyeast 1469 is not the true Timothy Taylor's yeast as TT's yeast is a multi strain.

I know for a fact that Taylor's yeast is/was a multi strain yeast so that the yeast from Wyeast can never truly be Taylor's yeast as I doubt that it will be multi strain or never in the correct balance.
