We are provisionally thinking August sometime so it gives people time to plan & brew. Be good to see a few folks again, things have moved on a bit since the last comp/meet.

Re: The Saltaire Brewery Competition
Hiya, long time no type.... Sorry we didn't do the Saltaire Brewery Competition in 2015, it basically relied on me being available to all the in-brewery organising and for all 2015 myself and my wife were busy knocking our own brewery premises into shape. We have been asked if we could organise some...

AG#125 - 2013 Homegrown Hops
2013 Homegrown Hops - A British hopped pale ale, Yorkshire Homegrown hops from last years crop, I used the alpha acids that were last used in BeerEngine for the calculations but who knows what the bitterness will be like. Fermentables: Pale Malt - 89% Carapils (Weyermann) - 11% Hops: Challenger - 6...

Re: AG#19 - Munich 5000 IPA
I'd prefer something like Magnum, at £4.05 a kg for previous years crops its pretty good value, I did an all Magnum IPA recently which is rather nice its lovely straight from the fridge with a bit of a chill on it.

Re: Reviews of Member's Homebrew
diacetyl is a bi-product of fermentation, the yeast reabsorbs this at the end.
At work we do a diacetyl-rest so when the beer reaches our chill-gravity we chill it to 17c for 24 hours then down to 13c for a further 24 hours before moving the beer to conditioning tanks.

Re: AG#4 mysterio's SNPA
Sounds like you have a pretty tight process, if I'd been brewing that after cooling the wort I would have fermented at 20c then rise to 22c after a couple of days, fermentation should be finished within 7-10 days, chill to 17c 24 hours then chill to 8c until I get chance to bottle it, I try and bott...
