Best before on speciality grain

I have 500g of chocolate malt and its best before is April now I can only see me using 100-200g of it in this period I'm guessing as long as it anit mouldy or musty it will be ok?

It'll be fine providing it is kept well and isn't mouldy.

Keep it dry and cool and ideally in an airtight container and will last for ages. I find the darker roast malts tend to keep better than say crushed pale malt that is more floury.

Have a bite and chew a bit up, if its nice and crunchy you are good to go, If its soft I would not use it.
