Recipe for Palmer Dorset Pale call for Light Crystal. It's an NZ recipe, so quotes all Gladfields malts, but I've seen this needed elsewhere as well;
• 112g GLADFIELD LIGHT CRYSTAL MALT 27.4 SRM
Extra Light Crystal from the various sheds is typically quoted at 50 SRM / 100EBC.... so what's my alternative? Looking purely at colour;
Crisp Cara Malt (EBC 23-32)
Crisp Cara Gold Malt (EBC 12-16)
Which I could then mix with Crystal 145 EBC which I have loads of to get the required colour. Alternatively there is Crisp Amber Malt (EBC 55-75), but I think this will affect the flavour profile - or will it?

As to the light, medium, and dark colour ranges for Crystal Malts, this is purely my guess:
5-44 Lovibond = Light
45-94 Lovibond = Medium
95-150 Lovibond = Dark
SRM = Lovibond * 1.3546 - 0.76
EBC = SRM * 1.97
5-44 Lovibond = Light
45-94 Lovibond = Medium
95-150 Lovibond = Dark
SRM = Lovibond * 1.3546 - 0.76
EBC = SRM * 1.97

Crisp do a "extra-light" at 100 EBC (relatively new?). I got some very recently from Malt Miller. Their "Caramalt" at 30 EBC is more "chalky" than "glassy". I've seen nothing that might be described as crystal ("translucent glassy") at around 50 EBC. Amber malt is made differently, requires mashing, and just isn't "crystal".

I have some Thomas Fawcett “pale crystal” which the packaging says is EBC 60 (SRM c. 30).

That might fit the bill.
IIRC I bought it from the malt Miller.
