I have base malt spec sheets here from two separate UK maltsters. I am interested in extract values.
The first sheet quotes:-
Extract Litre/Kg MIAG 2 as is 305.0 min
Extract Litre/Kg MIAG 7 as is 301.5 min
The second sheet quotes:-
Extract (0.2mm) dry % 82%
Extract (0.1mm) dry % 81.5%
Fine/Course difference (0.2/1.0) 0.5%
I think I understand the 305.0 and 301.5 values given on the first sheet and can calculate predicted wort SG from those. No idea what the 82% / 81.5% figures are telling me on the second sheet? Also not sure why figures are quoted for different MIAG / Fine Course difference?
Any help much appreciated.

Re: Malt Spec Sheet questions
The % figures are based on the extract potential of Sucrose. That been taken as 100%.
So if 1kg of sucrose would give you 370 gravity points ( as per this sites recipe formulation figures) the grain at 82% would give you 303.4 gravity points (370*82%) and the 81.5% grain will give you 301.55 gravity points.
