Just been looking at charles faram hop prices ! after seeing Rabs thread [ what a tight arse ] .5kg of loose hops ,first gold [foiled packed] for £25. 50. Postage costs £11 odd for up to 25kg. As 5kg equals 50 x 100 gram packs it is obviously too much for a home brewer like me who can only probably make 15 brews a year. Why not then buy together? this would allow more home brewers to save money and increase choice .I live in sheffield if anyone is interested let me know

Apparently Farams aren't taking on new customers at the moment. That's third hand information so check with Farams direct but I could believe that it's true due to the hop/grain shortages.

This was mentioned at our brewing club earlier this month. If anyone is an existing customer wanting to put a bulk order together drop me a PM, I'm sure I can find plenty of people who'll help you make up the order to the size required

drinking: ~ | conditioning: ~ | primary: ~ | Looks like I need to get brewing then...

I have heard back from NZ Hops who basically said "have you tried Farams?" . . . Well Duh! They don't do Motueka, adn they are not taking on new csutomers . . So I'm pleading with them to sell me either 15Kg of Motueka or 5Kg each of Motueka, NZ Hallertau, Pacific Jade or Nelson Sauvin.
I'll let people know how this goes, as I'll be happy to pass them on.
