Using chinook for aroma

Post by Scroogemonster » Sun Mar 28, 2010 10:08 pm

Got some chinook hops (AA 12.7%) as a freebie by another forum member. How much of these would you use for aroma hops for the last 15mins of the boil in a 23 litre bitter/pale ale brew length?
Thanks
Kev

They generally were regarded as not being too good as flavour/aroma hops, but recently they are strongly becoming so, I say go for it and report back!

They are very grapefruity and assertive, it depends if you like that kind of character.
