I thought I'd given ths a fartrial. 23 l, 4kg Mo 500g munich and 10g carapils, 16g willamette and 26g nelson s for 60m wth another 20g neson s for the last 5m

Its only been bottled a fortnight but the aroma is very low I've made a bitter thats more like a lager, not what I was expecting- thoughts on where I've gone wong anyone?

It's odd as nelsons usually stink. But 20g at 5mins is quite low, and the others at 60mins will contribute a little flavour but zero aroma. Maybe next time add 50g at flame out to give a hop a fair run.... or dry hop with a bit of nelsons.

When I did an NS based brew I didn't add any hops until the 30 minute point, then just added shed loads to get the bittering. Something like 50g cascade @ 30 min, 50g NS @ 20 min, 25g NS @ 1 min, 25g NS dry hop. This made the most amazing flavoured beer and I've used the same sort of hoping schedule a lot recently.

funny you should say that - I'm just about to late hop with cascade to generate over50% of my bitterness, that approach might work with the nelson s
