A Podcast is a file that you can download to watch and/or listen to on your computer or mobile mp3/video player. They became known as podcasts because people often download them to their iPod mp3 players.
You really need broadband to take advantage as the files can be very large. If you download a file to your computer desktop, you should be able to play it in Windows Media Player by simply double clicking on the file.
Interesting site, I just tried a couple; unfortunately the one on Hot Side Aeration is not working at the moment.

I have a 1958 GEC Valve radio downstairs, can I pick it up on that by chance?
I'm not sure broadband has ventured into my village yet. Still in the dark ages here. Think I need to pedal faster, as my monitor screen is going dim now.

Shame

, If you'd had the 1959 version they released, you'd be fine because they fitted that with broadband
Beware, once you have broadband, it's likely to be almost impossible to go back to dialup..

DaaB - it is possible to download them and then listen offline but you may need some techy wizardry to do it! B)

With some of them they play automatically and don't give you the opportunity to actually download the file. So the knack is how to work out where the audio file actually lives on t'internet and then downloading it

I've listened to a couple of the podcasts from the original posts. Apart form the guys irritating habit of describing himslef as an idiot once every five minutes, they're quite good.
