Misty Mountain Hop

Post by orlando » Sun Feb 12, 2012 11:16 am

I have quite a lot of Cascade hops (1.4k) and am looking for the most appropriate style of beer to use them and what I might substitute them for when I see a recipe that uses another hop that they would still suit. Can anyone guide me please?
I am "The Little Red Brooster"

Fermenting:
Conditioning:
Drinking: Southwold Again,

Up Next: John Barleycorn (Barley Wine)
Planning: Winter drinking Beer

I do an APA based on Steve Flack's recipe here - it has a lot of cascade in and tastes excellent (assuming you like cascade, of course!).

You may be able to use them in place of centennial too; cascade is perhaps slightly less floral and a tad less sharp but quite similar really.

Cheers
