T90 pellets and whole hops mixed

Post by pas8280 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 8:54 pm

Been given some T 90 hop pellets today and plan to use them in conjunction with whole hops in a brew this weekend, the question really is will I get away with it using my existing 22m copper pipe filter with 2 mm holes in ?
Or am I better waiting till I have modified the filter using stainless mesh

What are the weights of whole and pellet hops that you intend to use?

I would suggest your filter is not good enough to use with pellets. Until you can modify it, use them for dry hopping at a cool temperature for a few days, they should then drop out and reside in the bottom of the conditioning vessel quite nicely.
