Dry hopping = cloudy beer?

Post by johnmac » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:47 pm

I've had a couple of brews that didn't clear properly. The only thing I did differently was to dry hop in the keg. I'm wondering if the sediment is settling on top of the weighted muslin bag and then getting drawn into the dip tube?

I think it might have been me :?: i was having problems with clearing sometime ago. I put it down to using poor settling yeast strains sorted it out with Isinglass. 8)

I doubt wether it's to do with dry hopping. I don't notice any difference in clarity when dry hopping, and if it did cause clarity problems I'm sure we'd know about it by now as it's been practiced for centuries.
