My Technique has improved and I've started using Torrified wheat, gives a faint sweetness to the brew although that could have been the higher mash temp. It also allows a brew that has been bottled for a month to keep a head al the way down the glass!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha honest guv! I've been brewing every weekend for the last god knows how many weeks to build up more beer than I could drink. I still have kit beer from mid may that keeps getting better too!

It's not a patch on the AG brews I've been drinking though, and those will only get better as I learn more

Any one of three lighter coloured bags top

Vac packer was great, but I ran out of roll and had to pack 500g of Styrians in one go....IPA maybe

Given the p*ss-poor alpha I've seen in recent batches of Styrians, 500g will probably be about enough to do a mild

You're not wrong there, these are only 3%

Lets hope this years harvest is a bit better :?

I've seen them lower than that. 2.4% rings a bell.

Excellent Vossy!
You'll soon be giving Reaper some competition

I'll scoff a box of Magnums and SWMBO can do the Soleros to make room for my hops....
Check out the beers we have for sale @ Mix Brewery

Win win all round 8)

Reaper has nothing to fear, I only buy what I will comfortably shift in my own brews, with a few of JHBF's members benefiting as a result, which is always a rewarding thought 8)

I do like the idea of the hedgerow hops though, from Faram if anyone else is interested

I really like the write up on Joan and Susan

Unique brew spings to mind 8)
