Slurp's Cascades - AA%?

Post by mysterio » Sun Aug 05, 2007 12:05 pm

I'm brewing at the moment with Cascade hops I bought from slurp the apprentice earlier this year. Can anyone who also bought from him remember the AA% of the hops? I don't have a note of it anywhere. Was it 5.5%?

Just about all of the Cascades I have ever seen come in very close to 5%AA. If you use 5.5% you should be, as the saying goes in the States, "in the ballpark".

6.8% wow, they must have spread a little extra fertilizer in the hop yard that season. :)

If you still need to know, I can give Slurp a call and find out - let me know if that would help...
