Another very effective way to propagate your hop plants is to take a growing shoot sometime around near the end of growing season and bury it down in the soil several inches or so. when the Spring arrives the burried shoot will self root and new shoots will be thrown up. This is the same technique often used to multiply cane fruit such as blackberries. I think you can snip off this new plant from the parent if you wish to replant it else where or give it to a brew buddy.

I bought a single Challenger plant last year from A Plus Hops and I got a ONE hop off the plant but this year after tying down some shoots last September I have loads of shoots springing up! My hop plant has already grown about 4 - 5 foot and it is only early April :) I am definitely interested in swaps if it is practical to do so. Shoots are obviously a lot easier by post...
