Okay guys I have now been to see Arunas who runs the
http://www.hopsonline.eu/ website to check out their hops etc.
Firstly they are based in Malvern and deliver from there. Its a similar set up to worcesterhopshop except that Arunas has a dark, cool room dedicated to the hops etc (when I collected from WHS everything seemed to be in the kitchen). He also sells on ebay but not the full range.
He concentrates on hops at the moment mainly because he works for Farams and that is his expertise. The website has the .eu rather than .co.uk because from what I could gather his main target market is homebrewers across europe and farther afield who don't have access to the large range of hops that we have over here. Not a bad idea when you think about how well served the UK homebrew market is now.
One thing that slightly lets the products down however is the fact that he does not vac pack the hops in the way we are used to from other suppliers. I did point this out to Arunas and he conceded that it is something he is looking at. Having said that he did let me rub plenty of samples in my hands to test the aromas and none of them smelt off and they were sticky enough - I can still smell the raisiny aroma of the green bullet and I have washed my hands three times since

.
I came away £11 lighter but with 200g of Riwaka, 100g or so of motueka to try in the next week and 2 packs of Nottingham yeast.
I will definitely be keeping an eye on the website and would order again but will still use maltmiller for the bulk of my supplies as Rob has the biggest range.
Cheers!
Jim
