Styrians

Hello all

I have just acquired a good amount of styrian pellets that were vacuum sealed in foil bags.

I've opened one of them up and they smell great, break down nice and moist with a good strong aroma - no apparent off smells.

They are around 3% AA and are dated 2003. They have been kept in their foils in a cardboard box and pretty much ambient temp.

I guess they would be useless for bittering, but what do you think about steeping at the end for more aroma and hope taste????

It's a shame to waste them, so just after a bit of advice - Thanks in advance.

I rekon if they were vaccumn packed and are pellets they wil be fine for aroma and flavour no probs. Also if there smeling good, go for it! Pellets tend to keep alot better than flowers.

If they smell good, they should be fine. If stored properly, flavour and aroma characteristics tend to fade slower than alpha & beta acids.
