Anyone grow your own hops?
I'm thinking of starting some next spring. I'm in York, I dont know if the climate's perfect but it cant be that different to Kent.
Can you take cuttings? or do you have to get a root (rhizomes)?

I'm in Keighley and I have a Fuggle Flowering well at the moment.
I also snapped a bit off it by accident so put some rooting powder on it and stuck it in a pot with Half a Coke bottle over it, its now out-growing my windowsill

Fantastic, if it'll grow in Keighley, it'll grow in York. Do you think you could spare me a cutting before it all dies back in the autum?

If you are mobile and can get either to here or Ripley near Harrogate you can have the plant thats outgrowing my windowsill, it might be a bit late in the season for starting a cutting off and hoping it would survive through to next year (just my opinion mind).
I've nowhere sensible to put the plant myself, and was considering letting a friend have it, would be better going to a brewer though
