late hopping

Post by beer today » Fri May 07, 2010 8:47 pm

I will be dropping a Cotleigh Tawney Bitter from fv into cornie over the weekend and would like to add hops to the cornie to give a nice aroma on the nose. Any suggestions for which hops ???
I could do with a grounding in hops as to their particular character ie laymans terms, eg fruity, orangy, lemony , hope you can help.
cheers

Just a couple of cones of Goldings if you want to try the dry hop route. Put in a little nylon bag that was sanitised via boiling and then throw it in. Pull the bag out with santised tongs after a week.

The AU Craftbrewer site has some reasonable descriptions that may be helpful in choosing a variety

Hope this helps.
