Is this a hop plant?

I found this growing round the corner and I thought it was a hop plant. Am I right or do I see brewing materials and ingredients everywhere I look?

Looks like a hop plant to me, but mine are usually green. ;)
But even if it is a hop plant, It could be an ornamental hop and not useful for brewing - see if you can get some better conditioned/fresh flowers and make a hop-tea. ;)

Thanks, it was a bit greener, the light and phone camera have made it a darker brown...

Are they not male hop flowers? My female ones come out bushy... I could be wrong, and hope I am. There's loads that look like that near me.

Yup - that's a male hop. Nothing useful here (no hop cones)!
