Cascade - Help, I've bolloxed up my hopping schedule!

Yesterday I put together a prototype quick-and-dirty Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone using a Coopers APA kit, a bag of BKE, and the traditional LOTS of late Cascade. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention, and instead of boiling 25g for 20 minutes and then steeping 50g, I boiled the 50 and steeped the 25. Then, to compound the error, I left the pot covered cooling for an hour or two while we went for dinner at the pub. So I rather suspect I've got far too much hop flavour and not enough aroma (though I had a sniff an hour or so ago and let me tell you it smells *marvellous*!).

So my question really is, have I totally mucked this one up? Is it going to be undrinkably hop-flavoured, taste like sucking on a mouthful of grass cuttings, or should it be fine, if not quite so SNPA like as I'd hoped??

Is there any merit to dry hopping in secondary? I have 25g left so could certainly do this. Would it help with the balance or just compound the error??

dry hopping will increase your hop aroma so I would. 20 min boils isn't that long for bittering so I would expect it too be fine, certainly not a disaster. 50g of cascades for bittering will be fine, unlikely to be too bitter - I wouldn't worry.

I've just bottled a SMaSH of MO & Cascade, my hop bill was:

70g 60min
40g 10min
15g 2min

IBU about 35

and it tastes great so I think you'll be ok. :D

Thanks guys, most re-assuring! :D Would you dry hop the remaining 25g into secondary, then?

Nothing ventured, eh? It's not like I'm planning it for my 30th birthday party or anything...
