Unusual hop combinatons

Post by Fuggled Mind » Wed Mar 09, 2011 11:37 pm

What unusual hop combinations have you tried that worked out well?

I've got a best bitter using a combination of palisade and progress sat in the secondary and if it tastes as good as it does now (but lets be honest a lot can happen over time), I'll be a happy man.

So what weird and wonderful combinations of hops have you tried and produced good beers from?

Cheers

I made a Wherry clone via a recipe I found online and it had all UK hops for bittering and flavor and then an ounce of Chinook at flameout. That seemed odd to me but I went with it. It ended up being a very nice beer!

Damn, thought I knew most of the hops. Need to have a look at Palisade, be interesting to see a few results with it.
