Least Favourite Hop?

I dislike Goldings in bigger quantities. Did an all Goldings brew a while back - 40g at last 10 mins of boil and absolutely hated it.

What's yours?

Odp: Least Favourite Hop?

Oh, there are many...

Bramling Cross (used for bittering), required over 4mths of conditioning to lose pungent sharpness in IPA.

Hallertau Tradition, not up to expectations regarding aroma, bland!

Premiant, too sharp, expected to be spicy like Saaz.

Sybilla (flavour), too much Saaz-derived spiciness, expected to be more mild akin to Styrian Goldings (of which is derivative).

I don't have much positive to say about Willamette. It's not bad, just disappointing.

Bobek; pure washing-up liquid. Utterly, utterly horrible.

NS for me to, tastes of wine. OK in small quantities... But wine! Not good in a beer.

I know I should realise that from it's name and description.

not sure if i really like fuggles or goldings in my own brews. but i seem to like them in commercial beers that "SAY" they use them??.
made a 100% goldings and a 100% fuggle. umm dont taste right for me when brewed with them at home. i tried a stout in my local with fuggles and i loved it. titanic stout . i think it was fuggles anyway. also had 100% goldings commercial beer and really enjoyed them. i just cant get the same flavour in the hops i buy online. weird. also i think willamette are boring also

Nelson sauvin is fruity - taste of grapes and peaches to me! delish!

Crystal hops - too orangey in a sickly way like marmalade

When I've gone big on fuggles I've been so disappointed I've given the whole brew away - but I love pendle witches brew. I can't seem to get my bitters as smooth as there's though.

I did a brew with Target in it once and regretted it. That was ages ago so it's quite possible it was me ruining the beer rather than the hops.

Chinook: too harsh. It has to stay away from my brews!

Sorachi Ace: can't explain why I hate it, but I do.

edit: I forgot two hops:
Aurora because it's awful
Marynka because it's useless, in my (H)opinion

Got an all Target conditioning at the mo, will let you know in a couple of weeks if it was you or not! :-)

Oh Aramis, bloody awful French stuff. They can make wine but can't grow hops!
