fine hops

fine hops

Just bought some Gauloise Blonde beer and looking on website it mentions its made using "fine hops". What exactly would these be?

I think you may find that 'fine' might just be 'of excellent quality'...

Could be one of noble hops, sometimes they are described as having a fine aroma or fragrance.

That's what I'd think.
On the other kind it could have gone this way.
Brewer, "Time to brew, what hops do we have?"
