Ermmm... East Kent Goldings is the collective name for any golding grown (surprisingly) in East Kent. They are made up of around 10 different variations of golding, from Bramling to Cob to Canterbury whitebine to Redsell to name but a few. If you want a different golding go for a mathon which are from Worcestershire.tourer wrote:Anybody got an East Kent and a Goldings plant for sale???? Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!
Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober! - WSC

in my early brewing days oooh must be 25+ years ago is i scrounged some east Kent from Holdens brewery in the days when you could just walk in. That was my first experience of that Hop and i loved the aroma, i used to dry hop with it. In my ignorance i always considered "goldings" a general Hop because my experience of brewing was/is very very limited. I suppose what i should have said was i would like a east Kent and another Golding. As we all know we have to wait for plants to start producing and at the moment i'm not ready to brew as i'm making repairs to the "Brewing shed" so the plants can establish themselves without me wanting them to produce Hops. So mathon it is then. Thanks for the advice much appreciated.
