Homegron hops and cross pollination

Post by Walrus81 » Thu Aug 15, 2019 7:04 pm

I have a mumber of hops.

Which I plan to use as flame out or dry hop additions. Over a number of years I've decided to use pellets for bittering.
Anyway in tje garden I have goldings and fuggles at either side of garden.

On the alotment I have a row of 4 different hops.

Challenger
Hallerau Mittlefrau
Fuggles
Goldings

They are all doing well however they are all in close proximity to each other.

So over time will they not all cross pollinate and yield a murant hop rather than 4 different types.

Any suggestions to grow multiple varities but keep them isolated?

Cheers

They should all be female, so no cross pollination as far as I'm aware.

Also, although the seeds may be hybrid the flowers have to be true to type as they're on the parent plant. Basically, don't worry about it.
