I took them to checkout and it added no postage..let's see. I will go all the way to PayPal.
Just had confirmation from the company that postage is ‘free’ (i.e. not extra).

I think I'll stick with the recipe I used for my Bramling Cross ale so I can make a direct comparison, which was about 1042 gravity, bit of crystal, liberty bell yeast and fairly low IBU (22 IBU or thereabouts) with 100 grams of hops split fairly evenly between 30 min boil, 10 minute boil and 15 minute soak below 80c (exact amounts at each point adjusted to arrive at overall IBUs) (I've cut my overall boil time down, hence the lack of 60 or 90 min hops).
Very similar recipe here.
4.5kg MO
500g wheat malt.
65c overnight.
Hopping 30g @15, 30g@30 in 45min boil.
Hopstand 40g@85c 1h. Pellets in teabags.
No chill.
Safale s-04. Ferment in kettle.
Bottled primed day 7 most likely.

Presumably with Ernest hops. Looks nice to me!

Doh! Yes.
Really looking forward to it.

This is a standard recipe I have used successfully for a few single hops recipe, so will be a good benchmark.

Never used Wheat Malt; sounds nice: https://www.simpsonsmalt.co.uk/blog/mal ... heat-malt/

With S04 you should have no problems with clarity on day 7

I find wheat malt builds body and head.

Day 7 ish, rack it out of the BM into bottles normally clear, gets carbonation under way well, because there is no cooling. SO4 then glues itself to the bottom of the bottle in a week or so. Then it sits until... I run a 12 crate cycle so as to have variety and not be drinking fresh beer.

Just tried my beer made with Admiral hops. It's only been in the bottle a couple of days (with no priming sugar) but already has some sparkle. I cold crashed this on about day seven as it was a bit murky and then bottled it a day or two after (details are hazy!).

It's a nice enough beer already at this very early stage, although the hops are not that prominent (as was perhaps to be expected). Maybe there is a bit of orange in there, but I might be imagining it. The predominant flavour is of malt and caramel, with maybe a bit of fruitiness in the aftertaste. I used minch malt for the first time so that might be influencing it, along with munich, crystal and a bit of torrified wheat. Very different from the one made with Ernest hops. I've got some first gold in the freezer so I might try the current recipe again with them as I think that might work.

That strikes me as an unusual point to cold crash, can I ask, from what temperature to what temperature?

Why unusual? From 19c to about 6c perhaps. Not sure on the specifics

I spose I was just thinking it will clear on its own and I would have waited for it to be in bottle & conditioned, not before bottling.

Never have, so don't have any experience. Just asking.

It might yet be cascade... Hops are not here yet, getting a bit dry.
