Hop seedlings
A couple of years ago (I think) I collected some seeds from a batch of Ernest hops and planted them. Only one plant has survived, and I think this is it's second year, my question is, if it is female will it produce any cones this year, just so I know it will be worth keeping? Or is there any other way to tell male and female plants apart?

I think you at right. Females produce cones and that's the only way to tell (from memory).
Males flower, but only flower.
If you had seeds in purchased hops, that's a bit remiss on the grower. They normally eradicate males, as they are not required for production. (think chickens don't need a cockeral) but they will make a female seed and not cone. You only need seeds for propagating.
