Resting Turbo Cider

Post by Adam » Sat Feb 02, 2008 5:34 pm

Hey,
i have 23 litres of turbo cider (alpha) ASDA AJ and CHampagne Yeast that i fermented for 12 days and bottled on the 10th January i have resisted drinking this brew at a tasty 5+%
plan was to let it rest for four weeks which is thursday ... how long do other people rest there TC?

I have also got ten litres of TC Omega which had a kg of brewing sugar and came out 12%ish ... this was started when the other stuff was bottled, it was bottled itself 23rd January... but when one of my bottle seemed to be deforming i opened it and let out gas... while open i tried it after only a weeks rest and it was gorgeous... that bottle has been consumed slowly over this week but i now must resist just under 33 litres of alcohol...
its hard.
how long are you all resting your beverages.

i've been enjoying the 12%er in a tumbler of an evening its warming and mellowing. Also a shot of it in a pint of cheap commercial cider (Sainsbury's Basic) makes a much more interesting and enjoyable drink.

good to know that if my resolve crumbles before thursday that the 5%er has probably peaked.

thanks and smiles

I've been known to drink it straight from the demijohn but the stuff I'm drinking now was made about five weeks ago. :D

Normally it's the brewer that needs resting not the TC

The Turbo Cider Omega is almost done. One week until drinking.
