Two New Brews

Hi All,

inspired by the mead posts I put two brews on last night.

The first was based on the ancient mead recipe, i did it as follows :

1.36kg Honey
1 Large orange (cut into 16)
1 Hand full raisins
2 cinnamon sticks
1tsp yeast nutrients
water to 1 gal
Youngs wine yeast.

SG was 1.110

the other brew was as follows :

1.36kg Honey
Seeds from 1 Vanilla pod
1/2 hand full raisins
2lts Apple juice
1 tsp yeast nutrient
water to 1 gal
Youngs wine yeast.

SG was 1.120.

are bubbling away nicely this evening and will give and update on what they are like when they are done.
