TC MIXED WITH A CIDER KIT

I was wondering if anyone had tried mixing a cider kit into a TC recipe? I know it sort of distorts the idea, but then it is a kind of anything goes sort of area!

i have heared of people making up a cider kit with juice rather than water or a mixture of both. not sure how it would turn out as ive never done it. only one way to find out!!

Depends how much juice you use and the sugar content - if you make a cider kit, add the sugar it tells you to, then add juice instead of water you should get more alcohol b ut that may put so much sugar in its beyond the capabilities of the yeast and you'd be better off using champagnje yeasst - and end up with apple wine!!!
In principle, of course it'll work, and be an improvement over the cider kit.

i did this with a cider kit using juice instead of sugar but as it was my first cider kit i have nothing to compare it to but it was an excellent pint really fruity, i made one with apple and one with raspberry which came out exactly like jaques

I have made up a cider kit with apple juice instead of sugar, and while it was an improvement on the basic kit, the results were nowhere near as good as TC made to Dreadskin's famouse recipe:- apple juice, strong tea and Bramleys.

The technical term is a THC - Turbo Hybrid Cider.
