What shall i do with blackberries?

For any alcoholic brew that doesn't fit into any of the above categories!

Think i'm definitely going for a blackberry mead. I've frozen the blackberries so they should be fine for when i've got the neccessary chemicals and yeast needed for this. anybody know of a good wine yeast which works well for a mead like this?

I've got 12 litres of blackberry and apple wine on the go at the moment.
It smells wonderful, like delicious sweet jam.
I did encounter a slight problem, I forgot that apples make any intial brew rather lively.
Came downstairs the first morning to find a big purple patch surrounding the DJ on the cream-coloured kitchen floor!
And blackberry juice stains, OH HELL HOW it stains!

I'm planning a fruit beer. It was going to be raspberry or strawberry................as there are so many blackberries around , I'm now thinking this may be the way to go. Ant tips on when to introduce the fruit to the wort?..........Ive hear late in the primary fermentation and whole (having been first frozen and thawed)

Is this the best way, if so why and what are the alternatives?

Any ideas gents?
