Grape & elderflower TC

At long last I have got around to making my grape & elderflower TC, it was bubbling like mad after only 30 mins. I took an sg reading and it was 1.090 so if I can ferment it out to 1.010 or lower it will be quite strong. Will keep you posted on it's progess.
Ingredients below

2ltr grape juice
500g sugar
500ml boiling water
150ml super concentate elderflower cordial
Champagne yeast & yeast nutrient
Top up with water

No pics sorry, but it has been fizzing away steadily since I made it , looks a lovely golden colour and not too cloudy, I think it will clear off nicely, then im going to prime half of it and rack the rest off to clear properly.

My grape & elderfower TC stopped fermenting yesterday, today I bottled half with half a teaspoon of dextrose,took an sg reading it started at 1.090 and is now 0.990 to my calculation that's 14%. I added another 60 ml of cordial and 1 pint of water and its off again bubbling already, had a taste of my sample and its dry with a lovely undertone of elderflower. I forgot to take another sg reading so I wont know the final volume.

I made this back in march, I drank all of it apart from 1 bottle which I stored away until today, I have just opened it and poured myself a glass and its bloody georgous, I decanted the rest of the bottle into an empty screw cap bottle for later, I don't think it will be there for long, it is slightly sparkling as it is one of the bottles I primed and it is so smooth you would't think it came from the same ingredients. Definately worth waiting for

I can't remember the name off hand, I will have a look next time I go in to the shop that sells it. It's in a green bottle that's all I can remember, mind you I have nearly finished the bottle so that might have something to do with my memory, it's rocket fuel

I remembered this morning that I didn't use the full bottle , I found it in the back of a cupboard it's Thorncroft Wild Elderflower Cordial it comes in a 375ml bottle and you will probably get it at a health food store or if my memory serves me right Asda.

checked my local health food shop yes they do stock but havent got any and wont know when its coming back some probs at the supplier
but i am chomping at the bit to make this one
trying to brew as much as i can as SWMBO has a couple of social engagements

my red wine and rose wine have turned out very well again
some tc wants bottling still got some lager left and the ipa should just be drinkable by halloween
and the kilju should be a hit by then as well
think i might have the bug

Yep I think you have you should have seen my house over the sping and eraly summer, every available space had either FV's or DJ's on it.

i think i might have to stop buying dj's and odd brewing bits as SWMBO has started mumbling about "losing the guest bedroom to a bl##dy brewery"
think the 12 djs and 18 pint bottles and two fv's and tubes and bungs and airlocks that i have just bought off ebay may have been a bit OTT
although i did mention that the 3 gallons of red,white and rose wine was for party at halloween
