Anyone out there ever use the ice beer freezing method on a mead?
I'm just here for the beer.

Yes, my friend down in Oaklahoma, regularly freezes batches to increase the alcohol levels for batches of meads that he makes. He doesn't do this all the time, but tells me that he will freeze a gallon for a week or two, then defrost it until he's got between 1/2 and 2/3's the volume of the original amount.

Cool. I'm not completely sure I'm going to do this, but it's good to know someone else has done it. If I go this route it won't be until winter so I have a lot of time before I need to decide for sure.
