Hi Bryggmester
Thanks for the heads up.
I bought this stuff when it was last going cheap. It makes very good turbo cider.

Nice one, thanks for the heads up. I'm down to my last 24 cartons from my big buy of this last year.
I guess i'll get weird looks again at the till when I pick up another 50 cartons.

Hi Avtovaz
I based my Turbo Cider on this post.
I used Safbrew WB-06 yeast as I heard it didn't brew TC too dry Link for more info.
I kegged it and did some bottles and yeast settled fine.
Supermarket apple juice likely to have an OG of around 1048 and TC FG of less than 1002, so minimum % alcohol likely to be 6%+, unless you water it down, which I wouldn't do.
BTW: The recipe I used (above link) includes some honey so it ended up about 7%

Re: Cheap Apple Juice at Lidl
Hi Avtovaz
I normally use Bramley apples.
In autumn I add some crab apples too for extra bite / taste.
I think the idea is to balance the dessert apple juice with some cooking apple juice for acidity, and some tannin.
Extra tannin supplied by tea as well.
See this post Turbo Cider for sample recipe and you can scale to your 9L of AJ.
I normally initially brew with grated apples in a mash bag so that its easy to remove apple pulp after 10 days to 2 weeks.
This has resulted in bright, clear (very tasty) cider for the last 3 brews.
I've never added a spice like cinnamon so I can't help you there.
Goog Luck!

I suppose you could always top up with cold strong tea on the first racking, although I have never done it this way myself I can't see why not.
