Cheers, how much roughly am I looking for a decentish one? about the hundred quid mark? I've been looking at the stovetop ones like these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bialetti-Moka-E ... 911&sr=1-1 but am not really clued up on the differences.

I normally use a cafetiere (currently using one from the pound shop as my better one broke!) but really fancy espresso.

Ill do a bit more research at your recommendations!

Well I splashed out on a grinder, check this beast out. The espresso tastes amazing.

That is a nice grinder...

I have a £40.00 Krupps one which grinds ok but the plastic hopper for the grounds attracts all the coffee and is difficult to get all that freshly ground coffee out!

otherwise not a bad grinder for the £££

Yep I had the Krupps one for a while before the button caved in, not great build quality but great for the price, grinds nicely and works for all methods of making coffee. Agree it's difficult to scoop out the coffee.

My breakfast is about half a litre of coffee. In the morning I'm not interested in anything more complex than a cafetiere.
Default is Dowe Egbert's green packet, but I like the Taylor's Italian and Hot Lava Java so it depends what was on offer last time I went shopping.
We have a Proper Coffee Shop in Todmorden, but for some reason I've not bought owt there so far.

If I have a coffee other than for breakfast, I might break out the bean grinder, if I have any beans, which I don't, often.
And maybe the stove-top perc.
On these occasions, I've been working through a selection box from Whittards.

I had some Jamaican Blue Mountain in Betty's in York once, and yes it's a lovely flavour but I like a bit more KICK and body.
