Homemade wine a little tart.

Post by petemartin » Mon Oct 03, 2011 11:13 am

Ive made some homemade rose wine, a mixture of red grape, raspberry and rhubarb. Im at the fining stage but its pretty clear anyway but just a little bit tart. How can i sweeten this up a little. If I add sugar it may start to ferment again so I want to avoid this.

Cheers.

Splenda is what all the TC people use.
Leave it for 3 months it'll be less tart anyway. Maybe.

Or, of course, there is the option to sulphite and sorbate the batch and then make a 50/50 sugar syrup and add a little at a time to back sweeten to taste.....
