I used a lot of strawberry Ribena in this and it's just turned out bitter dry and sour it's like cooking apples with no sugar but much worse. Next time I'm going to use some sugar free drinks too because I don't see this getting any nicer but I will leave it to sit for a few months before tipping.
Any tips for next time or is Tc just a cheap way to make mediocre sort of alcohol.

Maybe I'll also try using an ale yeast from wilko as I imagine it won't finish too dry like this one has.

I've not tied a TC with ale yeast yet but will do soon, BUT I've had good results from No added sugar squash T-C's, 1 bottle of squash and 3L juice per dj for a sweet fruity cider, and other folks say they have had good results using yeast with sweetener from fleabay

Personally I don't like the fruity ones, I do em for the missus and daughter, I prefer just a plain apple juice TC, I use 3L juice per dj and get a refreshing and very quaffable cider after a couple o months, its drinkable sooner but gets good from 2 months on.

Ale yeast will give you something slightly less dry, and just somehow softer.
Strawberry is a delicate flavour, it may have all got blown out the airlock

If you want flavour, add it at priming, NOT in the ferment........as OB says, flavour compounds are usually volatile and disappear out the airlock.

Ok I'll buy some flavourings next time I'm going to try a Vimto one with a no added sugar vim to and also use a cider yeast with sweetener in it and see how that goes.
