Ah, ok thanks.
Mine is also bubbling away extremely rapidly.
Must be some use for all this C02 being given off, apart from warming the planet.

Hi pongobilly,

Yes there's no reason why you can't just double up the recipe if you want to do 8 litres I do 8 litres at a time but use 2 demi's thats all as i use 2 different sugar levels as i prefer the more medium dry but the others in the house like the sweeter one.Let us know how ya get on

yes pongobilly i'd double everything up apart from maybe the citric acid but thats up to you and how acidic you like your wines to be if you like more mellow wines just keep it to 2 tsps

I've just bottled my lidl wine.
It looks and tastes like a rose.
Very light and fruity, pretty strong though.
I followed Dewsfamily's recipe but used 2 litres of Cranberry juice and 2 litres of red grape juice, topped up with orange juice after the
first couple of days fermenting and 12oz of sugar. Thanks Dewsfamily.
Tastes pretty nice, certainly drinkable. Considering the ingredients cost about £3.50 in total i'll defo be doing another batch.
Thought i'd post a couple of pics of the bottled wine, put into used rose bottles, you'd never know the difference :)

I've just bought a larger fementing vessel, 5 litres doesn't go very far.
I'm going to do another batch tomorrow, perhaps with slightly less citric acid.
I'd quite like to try a Moet Lidl, although the freezing process sounds a bit precarious.
Do you need a special corking machine for champagne corks?

not really, but you do need to buy wire cages for them.

I've done my own gallon of wine using the Sunpride grape juice. I have high hopes for it since it lists Merlot, Grenache and Carignan in the ingredients (I think, going from memory). Bubbling away nicely at the mo.
