Severl years ago I saw a pineapple beer from a small brewery in Texas (I think). I never tried it and the brewery went out of business. Because of the pineapple beer? I have no idea.
I have done a cheap lager kit with some pineapple chunks thrown in (in a straining bag) fermented out nicely and tasted quite good. The pineapple gives some extra alcohol, but I never measured. Good heasd
Pineapple Wine
Re: Pineapple Wine
Pineapple thrown in. A couple of days then I will transfer to a clean DJ and stabilise. It has got a nice winey smell.
Re: Pineapple Wine
Well the finings have gone in and this will be ready for bottling on Tuesday. It has gone very clear (although it has that look of a dehydrated persons piss).
It smells good but whilst reracking the other day I got some in my mouth and it wasn't a taste i hoped for. In fact it tasted pretty bitter. I guess this is to be expected. Im thinking a long ageing process will reduce this and it will com enice and drinkable!!!
