hello again,
just bottled a batch of pomegranate tc, which is tasting gooood already straight out the dj. i bottled before it reached its FG as im going home and was brewing else where. OG 1.044 bottled at 1.011ish. i primed with a carton of juice and then bottled. i work that out to be around 4.5%. i was told that the yeast will probally eat up all the sugar left, so effectvely will it reach its normal FG of around 1.000 and therefor be higher in alcohol content? is this correct?sorry if thats a badly worded question, didn't explain it very well. any answers would be good.

Re: bottled early
Keep a close watch on those bottles as you primed as well as having a lot of sugar still left to be used by the yeast. These have the possibility of becoming bottle bombs!!
What did you use for the bottles(glass, pet etc)?
If allowed to fully ferment then with the added priming sugar your TC will be about 6%ABV

As they are in plastic bottles you can check the carbonation level by squeezing the bottles. If over carbonated chill the bottles in the fridge and then undo the lid to vent excess pressure.sam c wrote:not to worry, they are pet bottles. thanks for that reply.
